RNIB’s Social Action Team

RNIB’s Social Action Team raises awareness of the everyday barriers that blind and partially sighted people often experience and in so doing, help make our local community more welcoming and accessible for people with sight loss.

Many of the challenges faced by blind and partially sighted people are unintentional, but they can still have a significant impact on their everyday lives. These include difficulties navigating public spaces, encountering obstacles in the community or people being unsure how best to offer assistance.

RNIB has developed its Awareness to Action initiative to share lived experiences and highlight small, practical changes that can make a meaningful difference to the lives of people with sight loss.
