Yet another accident on Batchworth Bridge during the morning rush hour on Thursday 4th of August. A lady using the crossing was knocked down and taken to hospital.
Traffic was backed up along Riverside Drive.
It is the old problem of speed with a 30mph limit between two 40mph sections.
The County Council have, so far, refused to take any remedial action.
This will be held on Monday the 18th of July, 8pm at the Conservative Club in Bury Lane, WD3 1DT.
The Agenda and other papers for the AGM are in Independence.
Last year we altered our constitution to appoint Vice Presidents for life rather than electing them every year and during the evening we will be presenting our life vice presidents with a certificate to note the fact that they have been so honoured.
We still elect our President every year.
Those being presented with a Certificate, having been elected at last year’s AGM, are Bob Templeman (who is still a serving Committee member) Tony Berry, Brian Morgan and Peter Crispin. This year the Committee will be commending to the membership Peter Waters, our immediate past President, who will also receive a presentation to mark over 40 years’ service to the Association and the Community.
